The European Union's (EU) Registration, Evaluation, Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) regulation places responsibility on manufacturers, importers, and downstream users of chemicals to register the uses of those chemicals in the EU and enter the data into a central repository (IUCLID5). It also requires the industry to demonstrate the safety of chemicals via test data and exposure scenario modeling and to communicate any hazards and risks throughout the supply chain.
